Neglecting God's Word

Pope Tawadros II weekly sermon 26 Feb 2014: Neglecting God's Word

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Colossians 3: 16 ESV

(From Bible's first week reading of Great Lent)

We care for our daily life' matters like food, drink, prosperity, teaching our kids, entertainment, travelling, general readings, technology...

But what about God's word?!

Peter, the apostle, asks: "Lord, do You speak this parable only to us, or to all people?"

He wonders if God is telling this parable to them all as the disciples or to all the people.

There are some people who think that the Holy Bible and it commandments are belong to the servants in the church... but what about the others?!

So, it's the same thinking that St. Peter asked about, saying: "Lord, do You speak this parable only to us, or to all people?"
