Who Am I - Casting Crown (w/ lyrics)

"Who Am I"

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You're

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear

Cause I am Yours
I am Yours

We All Bow Down

We All Bow Down

Princes and paupers
sons and daughters
Kneel at the throne of grace
Losers and winners
Saints and sinners
One day will see his face

And we'll all bow down
Kings will surrender
Their crowns
And worship Jesus
For He is the love,
Unfailing love
He is the love of God

Summer and winter
The mountains and the rivers
Whisper the Savior's name
Awesome and Holy
A friend to the lonely
Forever His love will reign

And we'll all bow down
Kings will surrender
Their crowns
And worship Jesus
For He is the love,
Unfailing love
He is the love of God

He's the Light of the world
And Lord of the cross

And we'll all bow down
Kings will surrender
Their crowns
And worship Jesus
For He is the love,
Unfailing love
He is the love of God

Abba Seraphim: Alter Orbis: British Christianity & the Roman Imperium

Abba Seraphim was among a number of distinguished speakers at a day conference entitled, "Britain and the Early Church. Exploring the origins of British Christianity", presented under the auspices of the Fellowship of Saint Alban & St. Sergius. The lectures were held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Southampton in 14 July. A number of Orthodox jurisdictions were represented: Father Chrysostom MacDonnell (Antiochian Orthodox Deanery) spoke on "After the Romans Left", tracing the cultural and religious growth of the Insular Church; Father John Nankivell (Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyateira) led a discussion exposing the 'myth' of Celtic Christianity whilst Father Andrew Phillips (Russian Orthodox Church outside of Russia) gave an extensive historical overview in "The Saints of the Isles and the Isles of the Saints." Academic contributions were made by Professor Paul Cavill of the University of Nottingham, who spoke on the "Veneration of the Cross in England" from its Constantinian origins; whilst Professor Michelle Brown of the University of London highlighted many exciting discoveries about cross-cultural links from ancient manuscripts. Abba Seraphim concluded with a talk, "Alter Orbis: British Christianity & the Roman Imperium." In his welcome to those attending, Father Stephen Platt, General Secretary of the Fellowship, commended Angelos Stanway, who had planned and organised the day single-handedly. Members of the British Orthodox Parish at Portsmouth and Southampton Mission showed their support by attending.

Beware the Leaven of the Pharisees

In the meantime, when so many thousands of the people had gathered together that they were trampling one another, he began to say to his disciples first, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. Luke 12: 1 ESV

Nick Vujicic - Something More

Where Do We Go When Hope Runs Out? When We're Empty?
When There's Nothing Left?

Sang by Nick Vujicic...

Sometimes I get so tired,
Just trying to find a place,
To lay my head,
I look up to the sky,
I feel the warmest light comfort me,
I've seen the great heights,
Reminding me... That I'm alive

I don't wanna die,
I don't wanna waste another day,
Or night,
I know there's something more,
Than what we're living for,
I see it in the stars,
I feel it on the shores,
I know there's something,
I know there's something more.

I think we're all afraid,
That we might be alone,
Alone down here,
We all want to have some faith,
At least that's true in my case,
To just believe,
I've seen the great height,
Reminding me... That I'm alive,

I don't wanna die,
I don't wanna waste another day,
Or night,
I know there's something more,
Than what we're living for,
I see it in the stars,
I feel it on the shore,
I know there's something,

This world may crumble,
Into the ocean,
It could all end tonight,
I undermined you,
Then tried to find you,
My only source of light,
There breathing... I am
Breathing... I am... ¡alive!

I know there's something more,
I don't wanna die,
I don't wanna waste another day or night,
I know there's something more,
Than what we're living for,
I see it in the stars,
I feel it on the shore,

I know there's something more,
I don't wanna die,
I don't wanna waste another day,
Or night,
I know there's something more,
Than what we're living for,
I see it in the stars,
And I feel it on the shore,

I know there's something more,
I don't wanna die,
I don't wanna waste another day,
Or night,
I know there's something more,
Than what we're living for,
I see it in the stars, I feel it on the shore,

I know there's something more,
I know there's something....

If You Don’t Get A Miracle... Become One

Captivate Us - A Touching Video Clip

 Captivate Us

Your face is beautiful
And Your eyes are like the stars
Your gentle hands have healing
There inside the scars
Your loving arms they draw me near
And Your smile it brings me peace
Draw me closer oh my Lord
Draw me closer Lord to Thee

(chorus)
Captivate us, Lord Jesus
Set our eyes on You
Devastate us with Your presence
Falling down
And rushing river, draw us nearer
Holy fountain consume us with You
Captivate us Lord Jesus, with You

Your voice is powerful
And Your words are radiant bright
In Your breath and shadow
I will come close and abide
You whisper love and life divine
And Your fellowship is free
Draw me closer O my Lord
Draw me closer Lord to Thee

(chorus)

Let everything be lost in the shadows
Of the light of Your face
Let every chain be broken from me
As Im bound in Your grace
For Your yoke is easy, Your burden is light
Youre full of wisdom, power and might
And every eye will see You

(chorus)

Prayer I - Lord teach us how to pray - Luke XI:1-4

Luke XI: 1 - 4 NIV

Jesus’ Teaching on Prayer

1 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

2 He said to them, “When you pray, say:

  “‘Father,
  hallowed be your name,
  your kingdom come.
3 Give us each day our daily bread.
4 Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.’”

Luke 11: 1 - 4 NIV

-----

The Model Prayer NKJV

1 Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”

2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say:

  Our Father in heaven,
  Hallowed be Your name.
  Your kingdom come.
  Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins,
For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.”

H. H. Pope Shenouda III 'I want nothing of this world'

By H. H. Pope Shenouda III
A Poem from his book : "The Release of the Spirit"
published in 1957.

I want nothing from the world.., for the world has
nothing to be desired.. but only temptations for the beginners..
I want nothing of the world, for the world is too poor to
give me.. If what I want is available in the world, the world
would be a heaven.. But it is still an, earth as I see.. there is
nothing in it except material things.. in fact I search for heavenly
matters, for the Spirit, for God..

I want nothing of the world, for I am not of the world.. I
am not dust as they think, I am a divine breath.. I was with God
from eternity, and God placed me on the earth.. But I shall
leave it after a while and return to God.. So I want nothing of
this earth.. 'I came forth from the Father, and have come into
the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father"
(John. 16:28).

I want nothing of the world, all that I want is to get rid
of it, to be released from it, from the flesh and from the earth! I
want to return to God-as before-to be again a holy breath not
defiled by any worldly thing..

I want nothing of the world because I seek eternal
immortal things and the world has nothing that is immortal..
All that is in the world is passing away, even the world itself
will perish and come to nothing..I do not seek perishable
things..

I want nothing of the world .There is He whom I ask to
give me.. He who is rich and powerful, in whom I have found
satisfaction and nothing is lacked .. He gives me before I ask
Him, He gives me what is good and of benefit to me.. Since I
have put myself in His hands I need nothing of the world.

I want nothing of the world, for the world does not give
me benefit but with purpose to subjugate me.. Those who
received what the world gave them became slaves to the world..
It gave them the pleasures of the body and took from them the
purity of the spirit.. The world gave them the worldly enjoyment
and took from them the blessing of the heavenly Kingdom..
Satan gave them all the kingdoms of the world and their glory
to make them fall down and worship him.. He always gives all
that he has to make people lose their souls.. As for me, "I have
suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I
may gain Christ" (Phil. 3:8).
This world takes more than what it gives.. It subjects those
who desire it... So I want nothing of it..

I want nothing of the world, for I am superior to it.. I am
a son of God - in the image of God and after His likeness.. I am
a temple for the Holy Spirit and a place of dwelling for God.. I
am the only creature who partakes of His holy flesh and blood..
I am superior to the world and the world is asking me to give
it.. for I have the keys of the heavens and earth.. I, whom God,
in His loving-kindness and humbleness, willed to make me the
light of the world and the salt of the earth (Matt. 5:13,14).

I want nothing of the world, because I want to live as my
fathers did; those whom the earth was not deserving to trod on
.. They lived so, received nothing of the world. On the other
hand they were a blessing to the world.. For the sake of their
prayers God sent water on the earth.. and for their sakes God
preserved the world till today..

I want nothing of the world, because sin entered it and
corrupted it.. In the beginning God saw everything and behold
it was very good, as sin had not yet entered the world. Even
the great sea creatures were blessed by God to be fruitful and to
multiply.. But now, the marvellous picture which God has
drawn is scarred. Therefore I reject the world which loves the
darkness more than the light and I no longer desire anything of
it.

I want nothing of the world, because I want You alone; You
who loved me till the end and gave Yourself up for me; You
who formed me out of nothing and was not in need of my
service but it is rather I who was in need of your sovereignty..
Therefore I want to be released from the world and be united to
You, who gave me the gift of knowing You .

By H.H. Pope Shenouda III
I want nothing of this world
